Hey, thanks for making this. I'm not sure if anyone's still reading this thread in 2019 but I'm having trouble getting this fix working and would appreciate some help.

I put the d3d9.dll in the same directory as JadeEmpire.exe but when I try to run JadeEmpire.exe the game just doesn't load. As in, just nothing happens. It doesn't even display an error message. But as soon as I remove d3d9.dll from the directory the game runs again. I do already have an up to date version of VC Redist installed.
